Obtaining a residence permit of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Extension of the residence permit in Kazakhstan. Permanent residence permit in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

These documents are issued at the local police station. The main criterion for obtaining a residence permit and a permanent residence permit is proof of the applicant's solvency.

Residence permit and permanent residence permit are available for:

Foreigners living in Kazakhstan, residents of countries with which Kazakhstan has concluded an agreement on visa-free entry and stay, ethnic Kazakhs, regardless of the visa received.

To obtain a permanent residence permit, you must:

1. Application form-application for a permit.

2. The original and a copy of the national passport. (Valid for more than 180 days). If there are children - the original and a copy of the birth certificate. (Or an identity document if the child is over 16 years old)

3. A document certifying a permit to travel abroad. In addition to persons who have been granted asylum by Kazakhstan and ethnic Kazakhs from the People's Republic of China.

4. Autobiography in Kazakh or Russian signed by the applicant

5.Proof of solvency. Except: ethnic Kazakhs, persons who had the citizenship of the Kazakh SSR or the Republic of Kazakhstan, persons who have the right to acquire the citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in a simplified manner and their family members. (The validity period of this document is 180 days)

6. A document on the absence or presence of a criminal record issued by the competent authority. (Except for ethnic Kazakh citizens of the People's Republic of China) (The validity period of this document is 180 days)

7. Notarized consent of the child (14-18 years old) to live in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

8. A notarized contract or consent with an individual or legal entity to provide the applicant with a place of residence and registration.

9. A medical certificate on the absence of diseases the presence of which prohibits entry into the Republic of Kazakhstan according to the order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. (dated September 30, 2011, No. 664) (The validity period of this document is 180 days)

10. One photo size of 35x45 mm.

11. Certificate of absence or termination of citizenship of another state.

If the application is considered positively and all the necessary documents are available, the foreigner is subject to registration of the place of residence and obtaining a residence permit.

The issuance of a permit to immigrants for permanent residence in the Republic of Kazakhstan without the positive approval of the national security authorities is prohibited

A residence permit is issued for a period of 10 years. To renew a residence permit, you must apply to the authorized body one month before the expiration date. (In case of loss - no later than 3 days)

A foreigner can obtain a residence permit if he has a permanent residence permit in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Also, you must personally submit the following documents to the authorized body:

1. Document on payment of the state fee.

2. Photos measuring 3.5 x 4.5 centimeters.

3. A valid national passport.

When filling out a residence permit of a foreigner in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the surname, first name, patronymic (if any) and other data are recorded in the same way as in the national passport of the applicant.

A residence permit for a foreigner in the Republic of Kazakhstan is issued to foreigners permanently residing in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan from the age of sixteen, children under the age of sixteen do not need a residence permit.

The period for obtaining a residence permit is 17 days, or 7 days in an expedited manner.

The amount of the state fee for issuing a certificate of a stateless person is 400 % of the monthly calculation index established on the day of payment of the state fee. When applying for a residence permit of a foreigner in the Republic of Kazakhstan – 20 % of the amount of the MCI established on the day of payment of the state fee. The state fee is paid through the banking institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which issue a document (receipt) confirming the amount and date of payment.

To replace or extend the residence permit of a foreigner in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the following documents are submitted:

1. Document on payment of the state fee

2. Three photos of the size of 3. 5x4. 5 centimeters;

3. Identity document to be replaced;

4. A valid national passport (for foreigners).
