22/04/2021

As the zakon.kz portal reports with reference to TASS, the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev addressed to foreign citizens who are in Russia, and announced that according to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation "On temporary measures to regulate the legal situation of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation in connection with the threat of further spread of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-10)" for persons who are in the Russian Federation for more than the period of their temporary stay, it will be possible to settle their legal situation without sanctions.

Thus, persons who are in the Russian Federation without legal grounds should soon apply to the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation at the place of their physical location and their legal status will be loyally regulated and the period of temporary stay for them and their family members will be extended, as well as migrants will be registered at the place of stay and appropriate permits will be issued for them.

According to the Russian Interior Minister, the government is as loyal as possible to migrants who are engaged in active work and is ready to provide support in the current global situation. Since in many sectors of the economy of the Russian Federation, a greater number of labor resources is simply needed. By the way, there are only about 50 thousand citizens of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation illegally.
